Abbots Charcoal is a Cone 6 midfire brushable glaze with a deep, silky matte black with a restrained modern feel. On its own it reads smooth and understated; in combinations it becomes far more reactive, drawing out cooler tones, mottling, and atmospheric contrasts from surrounding glazes.
